Project Description: Development of new residence halls at the corner of Blossom and Sumter Streets totaling approximately 296,000 square feet. The six-story project will provide 1,086 beds across two buildings, including a new Honors Residence Hall and the replacement of McBryde Dormitory.

Phase: Construction

Construction Update as of Oct. 2026:

• Two of the three cranes are erected.

• Foundations are underway.

• Structural walls are being erected.

• Permanent closure of Sumter Street is being evaluated for pedestrian safety.

Anticipated Completion: On schedule for the fall semester of 2028.
